Hints from community manager Lee Williams suggesting that fans “pop back soon” and “make sure you are following the Formula 1 Game on Twitter and Facebook”, seem to indicate that the racing developer is likely close to an announcement on its plans for the 2014 installment of their F1 franchise title.
While last year saw the news come in July, we are expecting that it will be likely the same for this year. The big question has to be what the developers plans are for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. So far the developer has yet to release any of its racers on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but has indicated that they are planning to do so in the future.
Rumors suggest that the 2014 F1 installment will be getting a Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release as well as the PC and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release. It could be the last year that Codemasters will do an F1 title for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as it transitions to the latest generation of consoles. With the enhanced power that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 provide and since the developer has been releasing a PC version for years already, we would not think the leap would be so big, but the results on the latest consoles should be incredible.
