Microsoft trademarks XCloud again

Maybe it will use it this time or may it is just being Volish

When Microsoft first debuted its long-in-waiting Xbox cloud streaming platform, it trademarked the name XCloud.

But since then the official name has moved over to the more functional Xbox Cloud Gaming. We thought that the software giant had given up on the name but apparently it has not.

Vole just renewed the trademark listing for the XCLOUD brand. The type code used describes its use falling under "Entertainment services, namely, providing online video games; rental of video games; providing entertainment information and video game tournaments and competitions via a website."

It might mean that Microsoft might abandon Xbox Cloud Gaming branding, but it is more likely that Vole is simply protecting itself, given that many people refer to Xbox Cloud Gaming as XCloud, including the primary subreddit for the service.  It is only a matter of time before someone tries to put out a product under that name.
