GPU Technology Conference in October

Nvidia has set a date for its third GPU Technology Conference (GTC) that will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. This year's event will take place from October 11th to October 14th and, as last year, it will feature a lot of big names from the industry.

The novelty for this year is the Accelerated High Performance Computing Symposium hosted by the Los Alamos National Lab and Nvidia. As always, Nvidia is pretty persistent to note the importance of GPUs and parallel computing. Of course, you can expect all the industry partners and some like Microsoft, Adobe, PNY, Supermicro and others have already booked ther place there.

Nvidia notes that the attendance at the last year GTC grew by more than 50 percent and predicts that this year's GTC will be an event not to be missed. While talking about its Fermi architecture, Nvidia also used the last year GTC to announce the 28nm Kepler chip as well as the 22nm one named Maxwell and hopefully by October, The Big Green will have more details. We are pretty sure that there will be at least some talk about ARM.

Of course, October is still pretty far away but we are eagrly awaiting it. You can check out the official GTC 2011 site here.
