AMD's new mobile GPUs scheduled for Q2 2012
The 28nm GCN ones
Although some of the Radeon HD 7000M mobile lineup has already been "silently" announced, the remainder, which will unlike rebrands be based on 28nm GCN architecture, is apparently coming in Q2 2012.
According to the leaked slide over at ComputerBase.de site, the 28nm ones are scheduled for Q2 2012. Some of the key features, apart from the obvious 28nm GCN architecture, are new power management capabilities, enhanced image quality, improved display features and support for DirectX 11.1.
The recently announced Radeon HD 7000M lineup, or simply rebrands, is based on the quite well known Radeon HD 6000M parts, and includes Radeon 7400M, HD 7500M and the HD 7600M series. The upcoming 28nm cards should be a part of mid-range, performance and high-end lineup and should be branded as Radeon HD 7700M, HD 7800M and HD 7900M series.
