Despite the fact that the Asus GTX 960 Mini, model name GTX960-MOC-2GD, is based on a compact 17cm PCB, it comes with a factory-overclock of 1190MHz for the GPU base and 1253MHz for with GPU Boost, but the 2GB of GDDR5 memory remained at the reference clock of 7.0GHz. For comparison, the reference Nvidia GTX 960 is working on 1126MHz base GPU and 1178MHz GPU Boost clocks.
The new Asus GTX 960 Mini is based on a full-height PCB design and still needs a single 6-pin PCI-Express power connector, but comes with Asus' own dual-slot single-fan cooling solution with CoolTech fan technology, which includes both top-flow and lateral-flow fins on the fan. It also comes with brushed aluminum backplate.
Asus also kept all the display outputs, including DVI, HDMI 2.0 and three DisplayPort 1.2 outputs.
Although Asus did not officially announce the precise availability date or the price, a quick check on our favorite price search engine reveals it listed in Europe for around €230, with availability date set for around two to three weeks.
