Hands-on pictures appear online

According to the latest rumors, AMD should launch its short Fiji-based AMD Radeon R9 Nano graphics card on Thursday, August 27th, with the market availability expected a week later.

While we still do not have precise specifications for the 6-inch long Radeon R9 Nano, we do know that it is based on the same Fiji GPU as the flagship Radeon R9 Fury X, uses same High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and, according to AMD, should end up faster than the Radeon R9 290X at half the power consumption and even offer higher performance-per-Watt compared to the flagship Radeon R9 Fury X.

In addition to the launch date, there are also plenty of Radeon R9 Nano pictures that have appeared online, including some from, where it is a part of a custom compact system build by Elmy, as well as a full set of pictures coming from site which shows the Radeon R9 Nano in its full glory.

AMD Radeon R9 Nano is a rather unique product that should provide a decent performance punch for small form-factor (SFF) systems but we still need to see the actual performance and, more importantly, the price of this small Fiji-based graphics card.
