As Oculus has opened up pre-orders for the first available consumer virtual reality headset and Nvidia announced its GeForce GTX VR Ready Program, it did not come as a surprise that EVGA has unveiled its first VR Ready Geforce graphics card at CES 2016 show, being one of the biggest Nvidia AIC partners.
Pictured in details by Computerbase.de, the new EVGA GTX 980 Ti might look like standard Geforce GTX 980 Ti graphics card with EVGA's ACX 2.0+ custom cooler, but it does have a distinctive feature, a dedicated HDMI port that connects to a 5.25/3.5-inch front panel. The front panel has an extra HDMI 2.0 port which will allow users to plug in the VR headset directly on the front of the PC case, rather than the back and also comes with a couple of USB 3.0/3.1 ports which plug into standard USB 3.0 header on the motherboard.
Unfortunately, EVGA did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date but according to the report and EVGA's own announcement, it will be based on reference clocks and be available in two versions, with reference blower-style cooler and EVGA's own ACX 2.0+ cooler.
