Gigabyte's GTX 1060 G1 Gaming spotted

Custom PCB and Windforce 2X cooler

Since Nvidia has officially announced its third Pascal-based Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card, a couple of custom versions have already been teased, including the Gigabyte's GTX 1060 G1 Gaming edition which will have a custom PCB, Windforce 2X cooler and unavoidable RGB lighting.

Although Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the actual GPU clocks, which are still probably fine-tuned as we speak, the company did reveal some important information. For starters, the new GTX 1060 G1 Gaming will use Gigabyte's well known Windforce 2X cooler. This cooler comes with two 90mm fans with 3D Active Fan feature and special blade design and also uses composite copper heatpipes which are in direct contact with the GPU. It also features a metal backplate and should keep the GP106 GPU well cooled and allow Gigabyte to include a hefty factory-overclock.

Another thing that will allow Gigabyte to achieve high factory-overclock is a custom PCB with much beefier PCB and 6+1-phase VRM. This is a significant improvement over 3+1-phase VRM design on the reference Founders Edition.

Gigabyte also included RGB illuminated logo and Fan Stop light along the top edge of the shroud, a similar feature that has been seen on Gigabyte's G1 Gaming series GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards.

Nvidia partners should have their custom graphics cards ready by the end of this month although Nvidia promises that some of them could be coming on July 19, as well. So hopefully, the US $299 priced Founders Edition won't be alone on retail/e-tail shelves.
