Dual- or triple-fan cooler and RGB galore

Inno3D has released renderings of its upcoming custom cooling solution for Nvidia Geforce RTX-series graphics cards, the new iChill X3 edition cooler which will not only be covered in RGB strips but also allow a certain level of customization as well.

While details are still scarce, it appears that Inno3D's new cooler will allow users to switch between triple-fan to a dual-fan cooling solution, depending on their need. Unfortunately, we do not know how this works yet, but we do know that there will be an option between a three 9cm Scythe blade fan cooler for performance or two 10cm 15 blade Turbine blade fan cooler for quiet operation.

Judging from these renderings, the new iChill X3 will be available on the entire Nvidia Geforce RTX-series, including RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 and RTX 2070 graphics cards.

"We believe the switching cooling system design is the one of the most crazy and innovative designs in gaming graphics card history." says Ken Wong, Sr. Product Manager at INNO3D. "The gamer doesn't need to select a 2 fan or 3 fan graphics card because they can have both with one purchase and change the cooling solution based on their needs," he added.

Of course, Inno3D threw in a bunch of RGB strips across the entire shroud, which does look like an overkill, but those things certainly have their place on the market.

Inno3D did not provide any details regarding the actual release date for these graphics cards, but hopefully, we will see those in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
