The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is the second in Nvidia's new Geforce RTX 40 Series SUPER SKU lineup, with RTX 4070 SUPER launching a week ago and RTX 4080 SUPER launching next week, on January 31st. As we wrote earlier, the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is a bit strange SKU as Nvidia had to cut it down enough not to thread on the Geforce RTX 4080 territory, but still give it an upgrade compared to the RTX 4070 Ti. It is based on the AD103 GPU with 8,448 CUDA cores and packs 16GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit memory interface. Nvidia is targeting 1440p high frame rate gaming with the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and according to reviews, it is a perfect match, as it will push over 60fps in most, if not all games at 1440p resolution and maximum settings. It can even do 2160p (4K/UHD), but don't expect high settings in some games, at least not without DLSS.
Additional memory and higher CUDA core count make it around 6-10 percent faster compared to the non-SUPER counterpart, but that additional memory does give it an edge in some games. It is still slower than Radeon RX 7900 XTX but that is a different league and comes into Geforce RTX 4080 SUPER territory.
As expected, Nvidia has released the new Geforce 551.23 WHQL driver which adds support for the new Geforce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, but also adds RTX Video HDR for all Geforce RTX GPUs, and adds DirectX 12 support for Nvidia Ultra Low Latency Mode. It is also the Game Ready driver for Enshrouded Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, TEKKEN 8, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League games, and fixes some bugs in Forza Horzon 4 game, and general bugs with RTX 4060 Ti display flickering, and cloning a G-SYNC display to HDMI monitor.
