Raj Taluri spent more than a couple of years at Qualcomm and the last time we saw him, he presenting the recent IoT updates in January, which is just a month before he decided to leave.
He started at Micron a month ago. According to his LinkedIn page, he was involved in Qualcomm's Snapdragon Application Processors, Mobile Computing, Internet of Things, and Sense ID. He spent most of his time with everything related to IoT, especially home and consumer IoT.
This involved wearables, voice and music, home control and automation, industrial, drones, home entertainment and connected cameras. He was also responsible for something called Edge Computing, something Fudzilla believes will be one of the key technologies in the near future.
Micron is a memory company, and we're not sure how much fun the memory world really is, but Raj knows what he is doing. He will be leading a big part of the BU helping planning for future memory for mobile devices.
We don't know yet who will take his place, but we will surely ask around.
