Pushing the envelope with the earlier announced DDR4-4000 32GB kit SO-DIMM kit, G.Skill has now released a more capacity oriented 64GB (4x16GB) SO-DIMM quad-channel kit working at the slightly lower 3466MHz frequency with CL17-17-17-37 latency at 1.35V.
Aimed at Intel X299 mini-ITX motherboards that are the base of many high-end small form-factor (SFF) PCs, the new kit uses four 16GB modules with Samsung B-Die ICs. G.Skill also tested the new kit on the ASRock X299E-ITX/ac mini-ITX motherboard with the Intel Core i9-7900X processor as well as run AIDA64 memory benchmark, getting 95,231MB/s read, 94,856MB/s write, and 90639MB/s copy results.
While it did not talk about the price, G.Skill noted that the new DDR4-3466 CL17 64GB(4x16GB) SO-DIMM kit will be available in Q1 2018.
