HTS is now hoping that it can do a bit better by offering an affordable handset with One series looks and decent specs. The Desire X features a 4-inch WVGA SLCD screen, Ice Cream Sandwich and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core clocked at 1GHz.
It sounds like a pretty snappy combination, but unfortunately it only has 4GB of internal storage. HTC bundles 25 gigs of free Dropbox storage with the Desire X, but 4GB still sounds pretty cramped.
A 5-megapixel camera is at the back and HTC says it delivers some functionality seen on 8-megapixel cameras used in higher end One series phones, including HDR, fast continuous shooting and superfast activation.
The Desire X will start shipping in September, with an MSRP of €299 in Euroland.
