Might end up with a quad-core Snapdragon 800

Mynokiablog.com posted some details regarding the upcoming Nokia EOS smartphone, citing a source that is familiar with Nokia's plans. According to info, it could expectedly end up with an impressive camera as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset.

The quad-core Nokia EOS is still in the air as, according to Mynokiablog.com sources, Nokia is actually testing two different models, one with a dual-core chipset and another running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The main issue that Nokia is appearently facing is battery performance, or to be precise, the lack of it on the quad-core version, so dual-core might be the way that Nokia will eventually go for the EOS.

It could end up with a 2000mAh battery similar to the one on the Lumia 920 but this time around, Nokia might opt for an unknown size AMOLED touchscreen with 1280x768 resolution. The main selling point will, of course, be the main rear camera that should pack 41-megapixel sensor, Xenon and LED flash, optical image stabilization, possible "variable aperture lens" seen previously on now quite old N86 as well as a more detailed camera UI similar to the one on the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone.

According to Mynokiablog.com, the Nokia EOS might end up to be an AT&T exclusive with global release in 1 to 3 months later. In any case, the EOS might be Nokia's ticket to the big league once again but it will surely face some tough competition.
