HTC is slowly but surely getting Android 4.2.2, the latest and greatest Android version making it more competitive against its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy S4. The drop down menu with quick options is now there, there are some additional lock screen options, where you can put some widgets and a daydream support, all that was coming with stock Android 4.2 on Nexus devices. HTC has naturally included some other minor fixes.

We believe that this update should improve Miracast support, but since we don’t have the device on hand it will be tough to confirm. The 4.2 is supposed to bring Miracast to phones.

The Ultrapixel camera app got six new templates, improved auto exposure and auto focus that should provide slightly better pictures.

It’s a 417MB file and it should be showing up now in most of Europe but this will also depend on the local providers in case the phones got purchased of a carrier network. Hit the about / software update in the setting menu and see if it's already there for you.
