Moto E 2nd gen leaked by US retailer

by on10 February 2015

Minor update apparently

A new Moto E is in the works and Best Buy seems to have leaked the new handset, listing it on one of its websites. The listing has been pulled, but not before it was carried by numerous tech publications.

The “new” phone is said to feature a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a microSD slot, along with a 4.5-inch 960x540 display, 5-megapixel camera and a VGA front camera. The Moto E 2 also sports support for 4G LTE, at least in this particular SKU. Android 5.0 is on board as well.

The phone measures 130x67x12mm and weighs 142 grams. The original Moto E comes in at 124.8x64.8x12.3mm and 142g, but at 4.3 inches it also has a slightly smaller screen.

The rest of the spec appears to be quite similar, apart from LTE support and the front-facing camera – the current Moto E also has a 1.2GHz processor (Snapdragon 200) and 1GB of RAM, although the basic SKU ships with just 4GB of storage.
