Still no word on memory leak

Google recently announced the new Android 5.1 Lollipop update that will first come to Nexus device and now Nexus 5 has started to recieve the update via OTA.

Weighing in at 220.7MB, the new Android 5.1 Lollipop update is now coming to Nexus 5 devices all around the world. As we wrote back when it was announced, the new Android 5.1 Lollipop update brings the new Device Protection feature, HD Voice, various sability and performance updates and a couple of updates for the Quick Settings menu.

Unfortuantely, it is still not clear if the new update will fix the memory leak issue Nexus 5 users have been experiencing but since it has started to roll out to all Nexus 5 devices around the world we guess that we will know for sure quite soon.

The Nexus 7 is also receiving 5.1 updates and one of our old review samples got the OTA last night.
