Helio X25 supports it too

MediaTek has just announced that its flagship Helio X20 and Helio X25 will support the DTS's immersive Headphone:X sound technology.

DTS Headphone:X technology offers an immersive 3D sound experience through any pair of headphones or earbuds. The goal is to improve the sound quality and offer a virtual surround sound on games and videos. Games, movies and music sound better on Helio X20 enabled phones. This is a system-level integration of DTS Headphone:X technology and it will work across all applications. All you need to do is to select the option in system settings menu.

MediaTek believes that it can provide a superior audio quality and a offer a nice performance from its Helio X20 and X25 SoCs at the same time. We expect to see quite a few phones having these SoCs. The fact that they will support DTS Headphone:X technology will gain some fans among audio lovers.

Maybe the generation X might appreciate audio quality better than the beats audio loving Millennial generation, but today everyone from 10 to 110 years has a phone and use better sound.

DTS Headphone:X technology sound quality is enhanced using a high-performance codec on the new processor which boasts a 110-decibel signal-to-noise ratio. In case that you don’t speak Audiophile, the 110-decibel signal-to-noise ratio is really good.
