This is a rather nice phone with a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera. It uses MediaTek's MT6755 Helio P10 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz using eight Cortex-A53 cores, ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 user interface on top of it and has a 3,000 mAh battery.
TENAA points out that the S8 has a GN9011 model number and supports TD-LTE / LTE FDD / TD -SCDMA / WCDMA / CDMA2000 / CDMA 1X and GSM networks. Remember, this is MediaTek's first Cat 6. Modem that supports speeds up to 300 Mbit/s, Carrier aggregation and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) where available.
The phone looks really thin, made of metal but considering the specs, we don’t think it will end up being affordable. This Helio P10 and many others from Chinese and international brands will start showing in etail / retail soon. However, the one that really our eye is Sony's Xperia XA that is expected this summer.
