Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has battery problem

Tame Apple Press claims it is just copying Apple again

While the iPhone has been suffering from battery problems, thanks mostly to Jobs' Mob's throttling of users for their own good, the Tame Apple Press has been focusing on the rival Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which appears to have problems of its own.

Some owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are reporting that their handsets are dying once they reach a 0 percent charge and won't come back to life. The Tame Apple Press took the opportunity of pointing out that this was the same super terrible phone which caught fire last year.

So far, the problem doesn't seem to be too widespread, and only appears to be affecting users in the US. SamMobile has pulled together numerous forum posts and complaints that suggest this is more than just one or two isolated incidents.

Samsung will swiftly replace your faulty Note 8 if it's still under warranty, but considering the company was at great pains to emphasise just how much testing the Note 8 battery went throug,  it is a little embarrassing. Not as embarrassing as being caught throttling users of older phones without telling them so they think they have to upgrade, but you get what you pay for and if you shell out for huge amounts of cash you expect a better class of battery conspiracy.

Some people do genuinely seem to have a problem while others can get their Note 8 devices working fine even after going right down to a 0 percent battery charge. For the time being at least, it's probably a good idea to allow this to happen. Then again most phones have similar issues if their batteries are drained to nothing.
