Pixel 3 XL shows healthy SD 845 score

by on08 August 2018

Slightly outperforms Galaxy S9+

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected in early October and there's little surprise that they will be powered by Snapdragon 845. The XL version of the phone has visited Geekbench, revealing the score and some basic specs.

The phone scores a very healthy 2426 in single core Geekbench 34 score while it manages to get to 8355 in the multi core score. Let’s compare this with a few other phones that have been around for a while. The Galaxy S9+ powered by Snapdragon 845 scores 2412 in single core score while it manages to get to 8301 inthe  multi core score.

The OnePlus 5T launched in the back end of the 2017, powered by Snapdragon 835, scores 1974 in the single core score while it manages to get to 6774 in the multi core score.

Pixel 3 XL has a notched design and comes with a single camera which is somewhat unusual since the Galaxy S9+ come with two cameras and Huawei P20 series comes with three rear facing cameras. The Google Pixel experts believe that having one good camera is enough, but we don’t mind having two lenses where one has a zoom feature.

Pixel XL 3 will be an expensive piece of technology, but it will be one great phone, shipping with Android 9 out of the box. Now Google is tempting our patience as it won't launch this phone before very early Q4 2018 or October 2018. The original Pixel, Pixel 2 and XL were announced at a Google event on October 4 and, most likely, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL will too.
