Android 9.0 Pie

A great app and a necessity for all OnePlus owners called Oxygen Updater has notified us that the OnePlus 5T has finally received the Android 9.0 aka Pie update. The app is available on the Google Play Store.

Android 9 will launch on OnePlus 6 and now OnePlus 5T rather soon thanks to the support for Project Treble. This will ensure faster Android updates for both devices.

There is only a handful of phones that have had an Android 8.1 official update. As of last night, Central European Time, OnePlus 5T is one of them.

OxygenOS 5.0.2 OTA

OnePlus 5T is probably the most prominent phone launched at the back end of 2017, powered by Snapdragon 835. Now the phone has got its first official Android 8.0 based OxygenOS 5.0.2 OTA.

OnePlus 5 to get discontinued

OnePlus' newest flagship has now officially started selling, launching in the US, most of Europe and in India. The earlier version, OnePlus 5, will go the way of the dodo as soon as it sells out.

6-inch 18:9 OLED screen and new dual rear camera

At its dedicated "A New View" event held today, OnePlus showed off its new OnePlus 5T smartphone, designed around a 6.01-inch AMOLED screen, new dual rear camera and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC.

OnePlus has sent out official invites confirming that the OnePlus 5T will be officially launched on November 16th in New York at 11 AM and be available directly from OnePlus and other partners from November 21st.
