Cedar Trail comes in Q4 2011 and Intel is slowly losing up on some information. It claims that with Cedar trail you are about to see some quiet and even fanless netbook design. It promises to Taiwanese manufacturers that BOM (Bill of Materials) will go down, the design can be clean and aesthetic as well as quiet and rugged, with a dust-free casing.
The fastest iteration of Cedar trail has 8W TDP and it's a dual core, and Intel positions it for 11.6 or 12.1-inch netbooks. It promises that 8W TDP means faster performance than the 5W TDP dual-core, and the 8W TDP SKU has faster memory support with 2GB or more possible, DDR3 of course.
Integrated graphics performance is increased compared to current Atom.
