AMD’s mobile Trinity APUs have been shipping for months now, but we have yet to see desktop parts. Motherboard makers showed off Trinity boards back at Computex, but much to their dismay, AMD failed to deliver the actual chips.

All that could change as of October 1. According to a Japanese tech site, AMD will roll out a total of five parts just in time for the Windows 8 launch. The dual-core A6-5400 will lead the way in the cheap and cheerful market. This 65W part is clocked at 3.6GHz, but Turbo can take it to 3.8GHz. It features HD 7540D graphics.

The mid range will be catered to by four quad-core chips. The A8-5500 is also a 65W part, but it’s clocked at 3.2GHz sans Turbo, or 3.7GHz with Turbo. The A8-560 comes in at 100W, but it’s clocked at 3.6GHz/3.9GHz. Both A8-series parts feature HD 7560D graphics.

A10 parts are AMD’s flagship APUs. The A10-5700 runs at 3.4GHz/4.0GHz and features a 65W TDP, while the A10-5800 is a 100W part clocked at 3.8GHz/4.2GHz. Both pack HD 7660D graphics.

Sadly, there is still no word on ULV mobile Trinity parts, which were a no-show at Computex. AMD missed the back-to-school season and in case you are in the market for an affordable Windows 8 ultrathin powered by a Trinity chip, well, you’ll just have to wait a bit more.
