In case you missed it earlier, Crucial's BX500 SSD series is based on Micron's 96-layer 3D TLC NAND and uses SMI SM2258XT DRAM-less controller.
Previously available in capacities of up to 480GB, the new 960GB version will be a great addition to those that need more storage space. The performance of the 960GB model is the same as the 480GB one, so you are looking at the sequential performance of up to 540MB/s for read and up to 500MB/s for write.
The drive uses a standard 2.5-inch 7mm form-factor and SATA 6Gbps interface so it will fit most notebooks as well.
The 960GB version of the Crucial BX500 should be already widely available at a price of $129.99 and it is listed in Europe for as low as €99.90.
