TU116 GPU but with GDDR6 memory

Some more rumors have surfaced regarding Nvidia's upcoming GTX 1660 Super refresh, which is expected to fit between the current GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti, and come with 14Gbps GDDR6 memory. According to a Chinese source, GTX 1650 Ti should also make an appearance at the same time.

According to Videocardz.com, with confirmation coming from Asus HQ, the GTX 1660 Super is real and Asus will have at least three different models, DUAL EVO, Phoenix, and TUF3 series.

While specifications are yet to be confirmed, it is believed that the GTX 1660 Super will be based on the same TU116 GPU as the GTX 1660 and the GTX 1660 Ti, leaving it with 1408 CUDA cores, the same as the GTX 1660, but with 6GB of faster 14Gbps memory.

Earlier, Chinese Ithome.com site had some rumors regarding the GTX 1650 Ti, but there was no precise information regarding the specs, other than it would be based on TU117 GPU, pack anywhere between 1024 and 1152 CUDA cores, and unknown memory configuration.

In any case, GTX 1160 Super should launch next month and it will put a lot of pressure on the mid-range GPU market.
