Zotac has officially launched its handheld gaming console at the Gamescom 2024 show in Cologne, Germany. The GAMING ZONE, as Zotac calls it, features a 7-inch AMOLED screen and is powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 8840U APU based on Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3 GPU architectures.

Zotac carefully picked out the hardware, building the GAMING ZONE around a 7-inch 1080p AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness. The GAMING ZONE is powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 8840U APU based on the latest Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3 GPU architecture. Zotac paired it up with 16GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory, and is equipped with 512GB of standard M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, as well as microSD card slot for additional storage.

As the GAMING ZONE is a gaming handheld, Zotac made sure to include several gaming oriented features like hall-effect sensors for triggers and analog sticks, 2-stage adjustable triggers, radial dials, dual trackpads, dual USB4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, as well as a line of optional accessories.

Kicking-off the Gamescom 2024 show tomorrow, Zotac is teaming up with Be Quiet! to show off its GAMING ZONE console, graphics cards, and ZBOX Mini-PCs. The first SKU of the Zotac GAMING ZONE will be available for pre-order in select regions with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, 512GB of M.2 SSD storage, and Windows 11 OS.
