The star of the show is the Odyssey 3D (G90XF), a 27-inch gaming monitor which uses glassless 3D, something Samsung has showcased earlier at CES 2025. The monitor has a 4K panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and will support both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync. Samsung is partnering with Nexon for The First Berserker: Khazan, which launches on March 28th, and Neowiz's Lies of P games.
The Odyssey OLED G8, according to Samsung, features the highest pixel density on a 27-inch screen. To be available in 27- and 32-inch modes, it adds up to 166 ppi on the 27-inch screen. This is also the first 4K monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate, according to Samsung. It supports VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, 240Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, .03ms response time, and more.
The Samsung Odyssey G9 is aimed at those who like curved ultrawide gaming, featuring a 49-inch dual-QHD resolution display with 1000R curvature. It sticks to a 144Hz refresh rate, has a 1ms response time, and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It also has VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and HDR10+ GAMING.
Another 2025 monitor in Samsung's lineup is the 37” ViewFinity S8 (S80UD model). This is the largest 16:9 4K Samsung monitor ever. It covers up to 99% to 115% of sRGB gamut, and unlike the Viewfinity S9 lineup (available in 27- and 49-inch sizes), it is a 4K monitor with 350 cd/m2 brightness and HDR10 support. As far as we know, it is based on an IPS panel. It also has a 90W USB-C, KVM switch, and more.
According to Samsung, the new Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey G9 are available for pre-order starting today.
