Apple lover stuck with slower choice

Qualcomm has been signaling since the beginning of the 2018 that it might not end up in Apple's iPhone 2018 and at its last financial conference call it officially confirmed it.

Free data for Snapdragon PC/sell 5G in 2019 for Intel

Sprint just made two big announcements one with Qualcomm about its 4G always connected PC and one with Intel for its 2019 5G PCs.

1.6 Gbps LTE in 2019

Will be capped for Intel sake

There is no big surprise that iPhone X uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X16 modem and is capable of Gigabit LTE speed, but since Intel version doesn’t support this speed, both phones will be capped at the lower speed.

Four to five times better than some Intel

700 Mbps speeds today, GigabitLTE in 2018

SK Telecom is Korea's largest wireless carrier and the company promised to start 5G trials in early 2018 and align with Fa ebruary start in Korea’s own PyeongChang 2018. Before that happens, the company is getting ready to roll out the 5-Band CA next month. 

Beating the S7 pre-orders

It looks like the market is more forgiving than many expected as Samsung announced that S8 pre-orders were up 30 percent compared to S7 pre-orders in 2016. 

Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon X16 modem

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will end up with pre-order customers before the end of this week. But if they get one from T-Mobile US, people might experience GigabitLTE speeds in the near future. 

Average speeds can double

We had a chance to see the GigabitLTE working at speeds up to 930 Mbps and upload speeds of 127.5 Mbps which is definitely the fastest that we’ve ever seen. But despite the fascination with the top speed, it is more important that GigabitLTE will significantly increase  average speeds.
