Working with US outfit Medtronic
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn will make ventilators with US firm Medtronic to help patients afflicted by the coronavirus outbreak.
Pandemic issues not included
Foxconn reported a 23.7 percent fall in profit in the last three months of 2019 and it is still bracing itself for the full impact from the coronavirus pandemic.
Down by 15 percent
Foxconn warned revenue would drop 15 percent in the first quarter, but promised that it would recover as production returns to normal in virus-hit China.
More than Tim Cook
While Apple CEO Tim Cook is a little concerned about whether Apple will be hit by the impact of the deadly coronavirus, Foxconn said it has few worries about the Kung Flu.
Trade wars casualty
Foxconn is exploring the sale of its new flagship $8.8 billion display panel factory in China as demand for the product wanes amid the intensifying US-China trade war.
You probably were not expecting this
The Foxconn factory in Wisconsin will only create 1,500 jobs when it starts production next May, Governor Tony Evers announced.
We will just make iPhones outside China
Foxconn said that it will rescue its chum Apple from Trump’s out-of-control trade war.
Promises to Trump appear to be slipping
After promising Donald (Prince of Orange) Trump that it would create shedloads of US jobs, Foxconn has shipped 155 US jobs to Mexico.
