Might be gearing up for online gaming
Amazon.com has head-hunted a top videogame specialist from Microsoft in a move that many are seeing is a push into the online gaming market. Andre Vrignaud, Microsoft's director of game platform strategy, said on his blog that he couldn't provide details about his new role at Amazon.

However the word on the street is that somehow Amazon wants to set up a version of the Kindle which can be used as a gaming platform for online gaming. Obviously this is not going to be a model of Kindle that is available as an e-reader now. Getting a game of anything less than naughts and crosses would drive you nuts.

What appears likely is that Amazon must be thinking of builting a tablet of its own which runs in colour and probably does not use ePaper. Of course this all speculation .
