Tell me, O Muse, of the man of many devices

Samsung has just announced the release of its latest mixed reality headset, the Samsung HMD Odyssey+.

This model is an updated version of the company’s 2017 original Samsung HMD Odyssey and delivers improved visuals, new functionality, and a more comfortable design.

The  Odyssey+ uses new display technology to give users an improved life-like and immersive experience. It weighs a few ounces less than the 2017 original - the Samsung HMD Odyssey + also features several upgrades in comfort.

This includes the ability to customise the distance between screens via the Pupillary Distance (IPD) wheel, as well as breathable anti-fog face padding. The Samsung HMD Odyssey+ is now available in the US for $499 and will begin shipping from Samsung and Microsoft today.

Sadly, we will not see it in Europe for a while as Samsung only thinks Americans need a mixed reality.

Big Apple Buddy, a New York-based shopping concierge, will be helping stranded early adopters in Europe get their paws on the gadgets and has promised to get it to the UK in a few days.
