Kiwi director slams Apple’s comedy keyboards

Makes me want to go back to PCs

Apple fanboy and famous writer/director Taika Waititi took time off from his busy schedule of Oscar acceptance speeches to slam his favourite computer maker for its rubbish keyboards.

Waititi has become one of the first indigenous New Zealanders to win an Oscar for the screenplay of his Nazi satire "Jojo Rabbit". Waititi astounded his fellow fanboys by not thanking Steve Jobs as being his inspiration in any of his award speeches.

Then he compounded the matter by actively slagging off Jobs' Mob in the after-awards press conference.

When asked what writers should be asking for in the next round of talks with producers, he said: “Apple needs to fix those keyboards. They are impossible to write on. They’ve gotten worse. It makes me want to go back to PCs.”

The interweb came alive with the cries of but hurt from Apple fanboys who clearly have had to type on an Apple keyboard longer than the five minutes it takes to type a sentence on Facebook.

“someone tell him there is a new 16 inch macbook pro with better keyboard”, sobbed one who has clearly never tried to write a screenplay by pressing his fingers on what feels like a bit of spongey pine and seemed to be having problems finding the shift key.

Another tried to put the best spin on it by pointing out “At least it proves how important Apple is to his writing process”.

To be fair, you have to be brain dead to think any laptop keyboard is going to be any use for typing, but Apple has gone out of its way to make the experience like jamming your fingers in a car door.
