Fanboys are actually buying Apple’s expensive rag

by on01 November 2021

Apple fanboys are really too stupid to exist in the genepool

You can generally tell how stupid and susceptible to marketing a person is by how much Apple gear he or she owns. The extent of an Apple fan’s stupidity has now reached a new low with the release of Apple’s $20 rag.

When Apple announced it was releasing its expensive rag, we made much mock of the idea. I mean who shells out $20 for something they can pick up from Chinese dollar store for less than 50 cents?

It turns out that when it comes to Apple gear, Apple fans are so stupid that it is a wonder they can survive in the gene pool and have not been eat by something more intelligent – like an amoeba or a Trump supporter.

The 6.3-by-6.3-inch cloth to wipe smudges and fingerprints off screens imprinted with the Apple logo in the corner is Apple’s most back ordered product. This means that even Jobs’ Mob was surprised how stupid its fanboys were and didn’t think enough of them would be dim enough to fall for it.

We had another look at the advert, which surely must contain something which fools fanboys - after all this is the biggest scam since someone started peddling a dollar of Brine Shrimps to kids for $20 claiming they were sea monkeys.

But Apple has been relatively honest,  even having ironic humour about the rag. It is not quite as bad as when it tried to flog four wheels to "improve mobility" for the Mac Pro for $699.

It says on its product page that it is material to clean the screens of iPhones, iPads and MacBooks "safely and effectively".

The listing adds that the Polishing Cloth -- capital P, capital C -- is "compatible" with 88 different Apple products.

It feels like a piss take, which has turned into an accidental Apple money spinner which has turned out so popular that Apple can’t get enough into the shops until January.

It is all incredibly sad, and one of the reasons why humanity is in the sad state it is today.
