Following yesterday's announcement from Nvidia, Toshiba has updated its Qosmio lineup with two new notebooks, the Qosmio X770 and the Qosmio X770 3D. Both notebooks are based on Intel's Huron River platform and are available with wide choice of Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs paired up with Nvidia's GTX 560M 1.5GB graphics card.
The Qosmio X770 features a 17.3-inch 1600x900 LED backlit screen and, as noted earlier, will be available with a choice of Intel Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs, Nvidia's GTX 560M with 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory, up to 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 memory, two HDDs for storage, three USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, 802.11bgn WiFi, Blueetooth 3.0, Gigabit LAN, Intel Wireless Display, harman/kardon speakers. The X770 measures 413.6x274x28/57.9mmm and weighs in at around 3.5kg.
The Qosmio X770 3D is quite similar to the X770 except for some specs that give it the 3D suffix. Unlike the X770, the X770 3D will feature the same sized 17.3-inch screen but with a higher 1920x1080 resolution and support for active shutter 3D technology. The rest of the specs is pretty much on par with the X770 except for the addition of the 3D Web camera.
Both notebooks will run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. According to Toshiba, they should be available in Europe during Q2 2011 and the price will of course depend on the SKU.
