A big update coming when Rift becomes available

Project CARS game had Oculus Rift support since it has been launched a year ago and while recent update brings support for Oculus Runtime 0.8, the big update will be ready when the Oculus Rift becomes available.

The latest update for Project CARS, adds a couple of cars and tracks, some bug fixes and adjustments to physics engine as well as support for Oculus Runtime 0.8.

In a Reddit post, Slightly Mad Studios' rep said that while this new patch is just a minor update for Oculus Rift, the company has been working with Oculus SKD v1.0 internally and that there are plenty of improvements and changes incoming but it won't be launched until Oculus Rift becomes available.

Project CARS will be just one of the games that will have full support for Oculus Rift when it starts shipping on March 28th and racing fans will certainly appreciate it.
