Sony's Exmor RS IMX318 sensor launched


Provides the industry's smallest unit pixel at 1.0 µm

Sony has announced its new Exmor RS IMX318 sensor and claims it is the world's first sensor with a unit cell size of 1.0 µm × 1.0 µm. At the same time it is small at 6.858mm (1/2.6") and supports 22.5 megapixels.
