Prices come down on Nvidia GPUs

Clearing the inventory for Pascal

Nvidia has dropped the price of its previous generation GTX 900-series cards to clear out any inventory and to make room fo the new  Pascal-based GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 cards.

According to VideoCardz The GeForce GTX 980 Ti prices have dropped by $125 while the GTX 980 prices were reduced by $75. The GeForce GTX 970 is down only $25 but then it was a lot more popular.

We have not seen the price cut in every region yet.  If you are thinking of buying it might be better to wait a few days to see if there are any reductions in your region. The cut might be based on how much is in the local channel.

The price cuts do make the older GTX 900-series cards look more attractive although the perfomance and power improvements of Pascal are still worth paying a bit extra.
