Opening a void in the mid-range 

The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hell on earth yarn claiming that the graphics chip maker named after a Roman pizza is opening a void within its mid-range offerings by killing off its GeForce RTX 2060,  2060 Super, GTX 1660, and 1660 Super graphics cards.

Geforce GTX 1660 gets GDDR6 memory at $229

Nvidia has officially released its first non-RTX Super card, the Geforce GTX 1660 Super. Based on the same TU116 GPU as the GTX 1660, the new GTX 1660 Super comes with 6GB of 14Gbps GDDR6 memory, which significantly raises the memory bandwidth, giving it a decent performance boost, all at $229.

It is now confirmed that the upcoming GTX 1660 Super will indeed come with GDDR6 memory.

TU116 GPU but with GDDR6 memory

Some more rumors have surfaced regarding Nvidia's upcoming GTX 1660 Super refresh, which is expected to fit between the current GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti, and come with 14Gbps GDDR6 memory. According to a Chinese source, GTX 1650 Ti should also make an appearance at the same time.

Nvidia's answer to the Radeon RX 590

Nvidia launched its Geforce GTX 1660 graphics card and, priced at $219, it is just what was needed to put a lot of pressure on the mid-range market and properly replace the Geforce GTX 1060.

No GDDR6 for GTX 1660

The latest leak showing a couple of upcoming GTX 1660 graphics cards from various partners has pretty much confirmed the upcoming March 14th launch date as well as the fact that the GTX 1660 will be coming with GDDR5 memory.

Rumored price at $230 and $180

The recently launched Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti was a worthy successor to the GTX 1060, showing the power of the Turing GPU without Tensor and RT cores, and now, more information regarding the rest of the lineup has appeared online.

It appears that Nvidia is gearing up for the launch of its first non-RTX Turing-based graphics card as the GTX 1660 Ti has been spotted in Ashes of the Singularity benchmark.
