The new iOS 5 will bring over 200 new features including the new Notification Center, iMessage, Newsstand, Reminder, Twitter integration, new Camera access with enhanced photo editing, new mobile Safari version, a PC Free feature, new Game Center and a bunch of other new features. The new feature list starts with the Notification Center that looks quite similar to the one that can be seen on Android devices. The next one is iMessage feature, or simply a new messaging service for iOS devices that allows for sending text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G to other iOS users and across all iOS devices.
The Newsstand feature is pretty straightforward as it does exactly what the name suggests and keeps your magazine and newspaper subscriptions sorted out. It was just a matter of time before the iOS gets a new Twitter integration feature that will now allow you to use all the apps with a single Twitter sign-in and ability to "tweet" your pictures directly from the galery. The new mobile Safari got the Reader feature that strips the webpage of all excess content and just gives you a text.
The new iOS 5 also brings an update for the camera that now has a button on the lockscreen for easy and speedy access. The volume buttons is a shutter key and you can use pinch-to-zoom and exposure lock features. The iOS 5 will also bring more picture editing options including cropping, red-eye reduction, one-click enhance option and more. The PC Free feature is quite self-explanatory as now you don't need a PC in order to activate, sync or setup the device as it can be done over-the-air.
There is also a bunch of other features that you can either check out at Apple's site or in the video below. The new iOS 5 will be available on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th generation as well as both iPads in the fall.
