The Mini is currently listed in Germany and Austria, and prices start at €439, although most retailers put it north of €450, with many hitting €499. Of course, these are unsubsidized, unlocked, unadulterated retail prices. Carriers will probably squeeze the Mini in a variety of 2-year plans, a tier below the big HTC One.
This doesn’t sound like much of a bargain. After all the HTC One Mini is supposed to be a mid-range device, yet it ends up more expensive than the Nexus 4, not to mention last year’s flagship Androids such as the HTC One X, Galaxy S3 or LG Optimus 4X.
The upside? It seems we won’t have to wait long to get the sylish black version. Most retailers claim they will have both SKUs available and ready to ship in early August.
