According to the latest set of rumors brewing online, HTC is apparently working on a cheaper version of the HTC One M8 which will feature a plastic case, rather than the aluminum one which makes the flagship One M8 stand out.
The report suggests that there will be no hardware difference between the aluminum HTC One M8 and the plastic cheaper version but will have rather huge difference in price. While the HTC One M8 flagship is currently sold for as high as US $853 in some regions, the plastic version could end up to be as cheap as US $483. We are very skeptical and the figures don't make much sense at all.
HTC is obviously and aggressively moving against Samsung's flagship and although it is quite possible that the plastic HTC One M8 could be limited to certain regions, it is an interesting idea, especially if the rumored price turns out to be true, although we doubt it will really end up $400 cheaper than the proper M8.
