Samsung expects more folding stuff from folding phones

by on21 April 2022

Sales increased many-fold

Sales of Samsung’s foldable phones are increasing with the outfit claiming to have sold over 9 million Galaxy Z series phones in 2021.

This year, the South Korean firm is banking on selling even more.

Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young said that Samsung’s production targets for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 were more than double last year’s foldable phones. It could mean that the company plans to sell at least twice as many Galaxy Z series smartphones in 2022.

Young claimed that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 at a lower price. OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo, and Xiaomi are expected to launch their foldable phones outside China this year so the prices could go down.

The dark satanic rumour mill claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and it will not come with a built-in S Pen slot.

Samsung could be trying to make foldable phones easier to use and easier on the wallet to improve sales. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also said to feature the same primary and ultrawide cameras as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
