Bob Metcalfe created the tech 50 years ago

Bob Metcalfe has finally been given a Turing Award for inventing Ethernet networking more than 50 years ago.

Created the compiler 

Jeffrey Ullman and Alfred Aho, who developed many of the fundamental concepts that researchers use when building new software, have won the Turing Award for their efforts.

Edmund Clarke logged off

Edmund Clarke, the FORE Systems Professor of Computer Science Emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University, and the winner of the Turing Award has died of COVID-19.
