Apple claims to have fixed software bug in iMessage service

by on25 March 2022

After only three outages

Fruit and nutty cargo cult Apple claims it has resolved the issues that caused outages to its iMessage service which caused its iCloud services to crash three times this week.

User reports complaining of iMessage outages on Downdetector.com started climbing shortly after 4:20 p.m. ET, and later hit over 1,100.

Apple was hit with similar outages earlier this week that knocked off services like its mobile App Store and music streaming service.

The company did not respond to a request for comment on the reasons for the recent outages, we assume it was because it could not make the story spin in a good way for its software genii. To be fair its own staff suffered a bit on Monday when they suffered from DNS issues. Apple sent its staff to work from home because it was worried that its DNS software was not up to snuff.

The Tame Apple Press tried to reassure users that DNS servers go down all the time.  Well, they do if they have terrible software, or are poorly maintained. Getting a DNS server to connect is really stage one of networking.
