Russia going to sanction Google for telling the truth

by on07 April 2022

In Tsar Putin’s Russia truth is not something we say out loud

Russia's communications watchdog has said it is taking punitive measures against Google for allegedly violating Russian law.

The Roskomnadzor watchdog accused YouTube, which has blocked Russian state-funded media globally from using its platform, of becoming "one of the key platforms spreading fakes (fake images) about the course of (Russia's) special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation".

Basically, if any YouTube footage shows anything other than Russian soldiers being greeted in Ukraine with flowers and love, it must be fake.

Russia has been doing its best to clamp down on news footage from Ukraine showing its soldiers running away, surrendering, dying or committing war crimes. Instead, its own media has been pushing a narrative that is so surreal it makes Fox News appear truthful.
