Musk claims he has found a woman to run Twitter

She starts in six weeks

Supreme Twit Elon [look at me] Musk has finally admitted that the social notworking business is a lot harder than it looks and has hired a new CEO (not pictured) to sort it out for him.

Musk bought Twitter with the aim of giving the poor, under-championed right-wing males of America a voice but rapidly found that his normal solution of making bold promises and firing everyone did not really fly.

It is fair to say that his time at Twitter’s helm has been a disaster, and he’s made various promises and proclamations he’s backtracked or never followed up on. He began his first day firing the company’s top executives, followed by roughly 80 per cent of its staff. He’s upended the platform’s verification system and scaled back content moderation and safeguards against misinformation.

In December millions of Twitter users asked him to step down in a Twitter poll the billionaire himself created and promised to abide by

He promised that he would resign as CEO as soon as “I find someone foolish enough to take the job.”

To be fair, Musk has long insisted he is not the company’s permanent CEO. The Tesla billionaire tweeted Thursday that his role will transition to being Twitter’s executive chairman and chief technology officer.

Shares of Tesla rose about two per cent on Thursday after Musk made the announcement. Shareholders of the electric car company have been concerned about how much of his attention is being spent on Twitter.
