Promotional videos for Intel's upcoming 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake CPUs have gone online, showing some features as well as new logos for the CPU, Iris Xe discrete DG1 and Xe Gen 12 iGPU, and EVO Powered by Core logos.

During its Architecture Day 2020, Intel had a lot to show, but a big part of it was the upcoming 11th gen Core Tiger Lake SoC which will launch for notebooks this year.

Intel senior graphics fellow confirms

One of the great advantages of taking part at the virtual architecture day at Intel is the chance to chat with the speakers and learn a tad more. David Blythe, a senior fellow graphics architect behind the Xe LP design, as well as Gen 11 GPU, has shared a few interesting details about Xe LP.

The virtual launch event on September 2nd

Intel has already shed some details about its Tiger Lake family and the next big announcement is now set for August 13th, with an official virtual launch event scheduled for September 2nd.

11th Gen CPU's integrated Xe graphics not that bad

A leak from a normally reliable source has showed that Intel Tiger Lake i7-1165G7 and its integrated Xe graphics comes out well against a 25W Nvidia MX350 discrete GPU.

Coming later this year

Intel has showcased its Tiger Lake notebook prototype running Battlefield V game at 1080p with over 30 frames per second, which is a pretty nice feat for an integrated Xe graphics.

Hades Follow up / Panther Canyon

Hades Canyon was the Intel’s first and last attempt to use AMD Radeon graphics connected to its eight-generation Core processor, all in a 100W TDP small form factor package. Now Intel plans a successor to that machine in the later part of 2020.

No discrete GPU required

The integrated graphics in the upcoming Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake-U processors could offer twice the performance of Ice Lake making AAA games possible without a dicrete GPU.

CEO confirms holiday season  

Intel is preparing for the holiday later this year with Tiger Lake 2nd generation 10nm notebook products that are set to replace its successful Ice Lake.
