This comes as a result of its new CEO, Pekka Lundmark, three-phase plan, reset, accelerate, and scale. Apparently, changing the logo after 60 years was a key in that strategy.
The new logo gets rid of the iconic blue color, and the company says it will have no specific color and depend on the situation. The logo is meant to describe the company as a "business technology company", rather than just a smartphone company.
