Running all cores at 5.0GHz Turbo

At the pre-IFA show held in Berlin, Intel has now officially announced that the special edition Core i9-9900KS, one running all cores at 5.0GHz Turbo, will be launching next month.

1.75x to 2.09x performance increase

Teasing a bit more information about its upcoming high-end desktop (HEDT) processors at the IFA 2019, Intel has released some "relative performance per dollar" figures, comparing its upcoming Cascade Lake-X CPUs to Skylake-X and AMD's 2nd generation Threadripper CPUs.

Ahead of Intel's official launch, the flagship Core i9-9900K has appeared in an online listing, together with a fancy new packaging.

Including the Core i9 mobile CPU

At a special event in Beijing, Intel unveiled its new high-performance 8th generation mobile CPUs, including the new Core i9-8950HK and the new Xeon E-2168, both aiming at the highest-end mobile market.

$2000 with 165W in late September

Intel has launched a new $2,000 processor that has 18 cores and 36 thread support and this is the top of the line, with the small catch that it won't ship until September 25.

The core wars

As expected, former chip giant Intel announced its four-to-twelve core Core X series and the top of the line is an 18-core processor of its "new" Core i9 series. 

Specifications on four Skylake-X and two Kaby Lake-X SKUs

An internal presentation from Intel leaked online over the weekend, showing the full specifications of four upcoming Intel Skylake-X lineup, which will be the first to carry the Core i9 branding, as well as two Kaby Lake-X SKUs.
